Will of the people

I believe every Barbadian knows where the Bussa statue is located, and its significance to our Emancipation. For a long time, most Barbadians referred to it as the Bussa Roundabout or the Emancipation Roundabout. One can call it The Will Of The People.

One wonders if it was the Will of a Minister or a Cabinet decision, to name it in opposition to the Will of the People.

Now they have set up a temporary tent village and call it an Emancipation village, right next to the roundabout that they refuse to call the Emancipation roundabout.
