Visitor found dead in pool at St James hotel

The death of a visitor staying at a St James hotel on Thursday is now the subject of a police investigation.

According to a police statement, officers were summoned to Palm Resort in Sunset Crest after an employee discovered a man’s body at the bottom of a swimming pool there.

Police from the Marine Unit recovered the body and a medical doctor at the scene confirmed the death.
The deceased was shirtless but was wearing a short, black pants.

Police say while the man has been identified, they are withholding his name until his family is notified.
