Police probe unnatural death at Psychiatric Hospital

nvestigations are continuing into the unnatural death of a male patient of the Psychiatric Hospital.

Police have identified the deceased as Noel Hoyte, 50, of Brewster’s Land, White Hall, St Michael.
Police said Hoyte’s lifeless body was discovered on the floor of the A Ward dormitory this morning. A medical doctor pronounced death at the scene.

A statement from the Director of the Psychiatric Hospital David Leacock said the hospital’s team is fully cooperating with authorities to uncover the facts and circumstances that led to the incident.

“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time. The Psychiatric Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Wellness are committed to providing support to the family and to all patients and staff affected by this incident,” Leacock added.
