Website flagged

Authorities have flagged a website soliciting travellers to pay for their visitor form for Barbados.

In an alert issued on Saturday, Minister in the Ministry of Finance Ryan Straughn dismissed this as fake and disassociated the government from the action. The website is reportedly charging US$39 as a service fee.

Minister Straughn said, “Any information submitted on this website, https://barbadostravelform.org/ does not come to the immigration or customs department, nor any of the monies paid to the treasury of Barbados.

He reaffirmed that the government provides this service free of charge at the website, https://www.travelform.gov.bb, precluding the need to pay for a travel form.

Additionally, the minister stated, “The Government of Barbados does not have any affiliation with the website and will work with all the relevant stakeholders in the main markets to ensure travellers to Barbados are not misinformed.”
