Man charged with Foul Bay Beach double murder, crimes against minor

A54-year-old man has been charged with killing the two men whose bodies were found on Foul Bay Beach, St Philip, earlier this month.

Steven Cuthbert Belle, who has no fixed place of abode, is accused of killing Dejuan Niles, 21, of Hopewell, Silver Sands, Christ Church, and Javan Burton, 33, of Ocean City, St Philip. Both men were found on the beach with multiple stab wounds on the night of April 1.

In addition to the double murder charges, Belle is also facing three charges involving a minor. He allegedly had sexual intercourse with a minor, took an indecent photograph of a minor, and showed the image of the minor.

Belle appeared before Magistrate Angela Knight in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. He was remanded to Dodds Prison and is scheduled to return to court on May 20.
