Teaching staff at Gordon Walters Primary off the job

Parents/guardians collected their wards from the school.

The teaching staff at Gordon Walters Primary School in St Patrick’s, Christ Church are off the job.

Classes were brought to a halt following a staff meeting earlier today.

Barbados TODAY understands there is a suspected case of a highly contagious illness at the school, with one child having been hospitalised.

The Barbados Union of Teachers reported that teachers felt uncomfortable and were anxious, especially in the wake of the outbreak at St Bernard’s Primary.

The teachers reported feeling ill and left the school.
