Shooting death investigation underway in Bayville

The police are probing a shooting incident which left one man dead on Monday night in Bayville, St Michael.Dead is 36 year-old Akil Hinds of Sandbox Avenue in the area.Reports are that about 10:10 p.m.,  Hinds was seated on the bonnet of a vehicle when he was approached by an individual wearing a mask who opened fire, striking him multiple times.He was transported in a private motor car to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, but later succumbed to his wounds.This is the second shooting incident reported in the Bayville area in less than a week.Last Thursday, a taxi driver was shot in front of his young child during an attempted murder.He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.The police are appealing to persons with information to come forward.They can be reached via:
