A 66-year-old man collapsed and died while taking his usual morning walk along the Mighty Grynner Highwayon Thursday.

Audwyn Marshall, of Wilkinson Road, Lower Richmond Gap, St Michael, was found unresponsive after collapsing near Stansfield Scott & Co. Ltd. at the highway’s southern end. His relatives suspect he may have suffered a heart attack.

Police later confirmed his death.

His great niece, Shaddriese Marshall, told Barbados TODAY that the family were informed after a passerby who recognised her great uncle contacted police and helped them locate his family.

“The police would have came to our house,” she said. “Apparently, a lady passing by noticed him, and knew him. My mom came down to identify the body.”

Marshall was described as a quiet man who kept mostly to himself and enjoyed spending time with his family. (LE)
