19-year-old charged with more than 30 deception counts

A 19-year-old St Michael man is facing more than 30 counts of criminal deception involving multiple complainants and nearly $33 000 in allegedly stolen property.

Police say Raquan Ricardo Clarke, of #38 6th Avenue, North Wildey, St Michael, will answer the charges when he appears in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court today, Tuesday, December 2.

Clarke was arrested and formally charged by the Financial Crime Investigations Unit (FCIU) in connection with offences committed between May and October 2025 across several police districts.

He is accused of the following:

Central Station
-Criminal deception — Peter Carter (8 counts) between May 11 and Sept 18
-Criminal deception — Joseph Atherley (16 counts) between July 1 and Oct 29
-Criminal deception — Gracelyn Wiles on July 11
-Criminal deception — Anne-Marie Persid (2 counts) between Oct 4 and 5

Hastings/Worthing
-Criminal deception — Janet Mullin (2 counts) between July 7 and 8

District ‘A’
-Criminal deception — Jarvis Perry (3 counts) between Sept 22 and 24
-Criminal deception — Katrina Bend on Oct 7
Police said the total value of property involved is $32,979.
