interCaribbean Airways wins Airline of the Year, PATWA Gold Award for Excellence in Airline Operations

interCaribbean Airways has received two prestigious honours at the 26th Edition of the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) International Travel Awards, held during ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show: Airline of the Year – Regional (Caribbean) and the PATWA Gold Award – Excellence in Airline Operations (Caribbean).

Both awards were presented at the PATWA World Tourism & Aviation Leaders’ Summit and International Travel Awards ceremony on March 4, 2026, recognizing interCaribbean’s commitment to connecting Caribbean communities across its network of 24 destinations in 18 Caribbean nations.

“Thank you to the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association for this recognition,” said Trevor Sadler, CEO of interCaribbean Airways. “We’ve been connecting Caribbean communities for 34 years — moving not just customers, but cargo, commerce, and the everyday connections that keep island economies running. This award belongs to our team that makes it happen.”

The double recognition adds to interCaribbean’s achievements in 2025, which included being named World’s Leading Regional Airline at the World Travel Awards Grand Final, along with Caribbean’s Best MICE Airline and Caribbean’s Best Airline Website — plus a third consecutive win as Caribbean’s Leading Cabin Crew.

The Pacific Area Travel Writers Association is a non-profit international media organization founded in 1999, with over 5,000 members worldwide. The PATWA International Travel Awards are among the most coveted honours in the travel industry, presented annually at ITB Berlin.
