28-year-old identified in St Lucy fatal shooting

Police probe Wednesday’s fatal shooting of Obrien Hall of Coral Drive, Atlantic Shores, Christ Church.

Police have identified Romario Archer, 28, of Pie Corner, St Lucy, as the man killed in a shooting at Fryers Well, Checker Hall on Sunday night that left nine others injured.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a number of people were attending a karaoke lime at a bar in the area around 10:50 p.m. when a dark-coloured motorcar drove by and its occupants discharged several gunshots.

Nine injured persons were transported to medical facilities for urgent treatment. Archer later succumbed to his injuries at a private medical facility.

The other injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police at the Crab Hill Station are continuing investigations into the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what occurred or has information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or the Crab Hill Police Station at 419-1730 or 419-1747
