Man injured in Long Gap shooting

A man was shot and injured during an early morning incident in Long Gap, St Michael on Thursday.
 
Reports are that around 3:45 am two males were walking along the road, when they were approached by a group of persons clad in dark clothing, wearing masks and brandishing a firearm.
 
They reportedly demanded valuables from the two males and discharged a gunshot injuring one of them.
 
The injured male was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor vehicle.
 
Investigations are continuing.
