Road death case adjourned until July

A 26-year-old woman has been granted $10,000 bail after appearing in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with causing the death of 74-year-old Janette Danglois, four months ago.

Honey Shakira Griffith, of Rock Hall, St Lucy, who appeared before Magistrate Wanda Blair this morning, is also accused of driving without due care and attention and driving without reasonable consideration for others using the road.

 The accused was not required to plead to the indictable charges.

The charges resulted from an accident on Sunday, October 21, 2018 along Vauxhall Road, St James. Danglois a United States resident staying at a nearby resort, died on the spot.

Griffith who was represented by attorneys-at-law Michael Lashley,Q.C., Dayna Taylor-Lavine and Jamilia Lorde will make her second appearance in court on July 30.
