Griffith’s Dodds stay extended

The remand block at HMP Dodds will continue to be home for a 34-year-old man for at least another 28-days.

When Anthony Emanuel Griffith of Lightfoot Lane, St Michael returned before Magistrate Douglas Frederick recently, his sister Sade Griffith, from whom he is accused of stealing a $169 tablet on March 7, made it clear that she “felt threatened” by her brother.

She also disclosed that Griffith resides at the family home “off and on”.

On his first appearance the accused told the magistrate that he was looking after a house for a woman in White Hill, St Thomas, even though he was advised that address was located in St Andrew.

However, the sister said she knew nothing about the White Hill address as he “does not stay [at home] every day but I am not sure where he lives”.

The accused will make his next appearance before the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on April 12.
