Still no bail for Snagg

An application for bail by a St Michael man was denied today earning him a further 28 days on remand.

Jason Anthony Snagg, of Villa Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael has been on remand since August 13, last year after appearing on two charges – that he on August 10, 2018 unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Peter Sargeant and damaged a motor car belonging to him.

Snagg in his application for bail back then informed Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant that he had on been released from HMP Dodds the day after Crop Over.

Today however, he told the magistrate that his period on remand was having an impact on his mother.

“It’s eight months now I am in jail. I went to the police and gave up myself. I co-operated with them. It rough on my mom too because she does be missing work to come up [to the prison]. I would like bail with any condition even if I have to report seven times,” Snagg submitted.

His application was not successful and he was remanded until April 25, 2019.
