St James trio to face drug charges

Three St James men are scheduled to appear at the Holetown Magistrates’ Court today on multiple drug charges.

They are Anderson Dennis Goodman, 44, of Greenwich Village; Joseph Rommel Gooding, 36, of #6 Trents Tenantry; and Adrian Antonio Blackett, 35, of Endeavour #3, Orange Hill.

The three were arrested after police executed a search warrant at Goodman’s residence yesterday.

During the search, police found 538 grammes of cannabis with a street value of $2 690.

Lawmen also found three camouflage jackets, three camouflage pants, two camouflage pillowcases and two camouflage hats at the residence.

Goodman is charged with possession, intent to supply and trafficking of cannabis and possession of camouflage; Gooding is charged with possession, intent to supply and trafficking of cannabis; while Blackett is accused of possession of cannabis and camouflage.

Lawmen also followed tracks from the house to a nearby gully and discovered 1 074 marijuana plants, ranging from seedlings to those about five feet tall, growing in the area.

The police seized the plants which weigh an estimated 87 pounds, with a street value of $174 000. However, no one was charged in connection with that discovery.
