  • @JOHHNY CROW, You are opposing for opposing sake, ni 15 years of BLP rule under OWEN ARTHUR, a some what inlaw of mines, you never had one single down grade, i am not saying and would not say that maybe a few things, were done wrong, but you can never say that the economy wasnt doing good, that BARRACK issue could have been dealt with by the DLP, OWEN had put things in place for the payment of the BARRACK BUILDING, which BARRACK him self said he was awaiting on a date agreed on, the DLP got in power and refuse to honor that set date for payment, and the settlement was for just around BDS $65 million, it was the DLP who made that amount almost double, when the BLP lest office the country was good had money to keep it afloat, but in just 5 yeas of management the DLP found it self in trouble, too much stupid spending on nothing of importance and under hand deal making that saw the government purse began to wear thin,

  • Guess what Roger, borrowed money has got to be repaid at high interest . The former DLP Administration had to do that, and without default. The default by any Barbados government Roger, has been registered in history by the present regime, making this the first time Barbados has done such. The bad management of Ministers within the Arthur inept group caused not only a lot of firing by the short man, but Cabinet reshuffles, even Mia was one of the then Jokers being shuffled. Poor Owen could only say in Parliament on at least two occasions, that he accepted responsibility for all their sins. So maybe after Mia and her team is finished biting the bullet, they will all eat s h it and die, so to speak. Voters will be glad to see their backs in another three years or so when they hope to call a hurried general elections.

  • Roger Parish, Mia was a part of the Owen Arthur regime that ruled Barbados for 14 long years and squandered millions of dollars. And that other shameless wretch Carl(Liz)Harper was a Minister in that team also. I don't have to list all the shady contracts and cost overruns that took place. Indeed, many of the huge projects needing repairs to date, were initiated by that BLP cartel. The Auditor General reports for those years are there to be read, and so too are articles in Barbados Free Press(now defunct), Barbados Underground and a few others like Bajan Reporter. Owen's team gave us Al Barrack who has walked away with $150 million Barbados dollars in his pocket. A Minister who was in Owen's team, and with responsibility for the Barrack case, is in a similar role in the present Cabinet. I tremble. Owen went crazy with the borrowing of money it seemed like, every time he took his favorite drink of water.

  • look you got DONVILLE INNISS awaiting trilal, cause of money was was washing, them kinda thing help run the ship aground,

  • JOHNNY CROW it is true, barbados is in the mess that it is in simply because the DLP GOVERNMENT refused to do nothing for ten years, as far as them are concerned they aint do nothing wrong, even tho they had 24 down grades. if they had bite the bullet and put things in place then the country would be on better ground, now in stead of MIA biting the bullet, she now got to try to catch the bullet, cause this time its fatal to the country and to the ppl,

  • @JOHNNY the CROW; why are you not affected? and PATTY, have you not read JOHNNY the CROW blaming the BLP. Keep blaming the BLP and don`t say what the DLP would have done different from having more downgrades, no tax returns, bad roads, sewage problems continuing etc.

  • If you say so Roger, but people here are under immense pressure, more especially because of Mr. BERT IMF. No sweet talking politicians can ignore the cries of the people's pain forever.
Increased bus fares from today, is added misery.

  • JOHNNY CROW it is silly to say that the BERT PROGRAM, have ppl killing them selves or getting ppl killed, if it was the case more ppl would be dead,

  • The gun amnesty only realized eight guns and 873 bullets, imagine that. A failed attempt by an inept Attorney General. We need the death penalty in Barbados. Stop pussyfooting.

  • Not good not good...respect is due to tht person's family...no need to cast aspirations on political parties on this one....yes people are indeed under stress...but let us think of this person's family and for heaven's sake stop blaming the dlp for everything...it is downright silly
