Man banned from Digicel

If Darius Kenrick Bourne wants to pay his Digicel bills he will have to get someone to run that errand for him or find another means of fulfilling that obligation.

That’s because the 27-year-old of St Ann’s Road, Pine, St Michael was ordered to stay away from all Digicel stores or kiosks on the island and also from complainant Nicole Turney – a Digicel employee.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant made the order after Bourne pleaded not guilty to the charge that he issued the threat “You don’t know who are dealing with. I would shoot you. I got shots for you for $200 stinking dollars and if you bring your boyfriend I would shoot him too,” towards Turney with intent to cause her to believe that immediate violence would be used against her.

Bourne, who is represented by attorneys Neville Reid and Kamisha Benjamin, was granted $1,500 bail and will return to the District ‘A” Magistrates’ Court on May 14.
