The 64-year-old of Upper Collymore Rock, St Michael, was sent to the St Philip institution until June 7 following not guilty pleas to charges that he entered St Cyprians Boys Primary School as a trespasser and stole two buckets as well as a variety of non-perishable foods worth $774.33 between March 23 and 25; and that he entered Locherbie College as a trespasser and stole a number of non-perishable food items as well as a pack of knives, a food warmer and a cooler worth $1,060 between April 26 and 30. Sergeant St Clair Phillips objected to bail based on Todds’ antecedents which tallies over 60. “Also his proximity, he lives less than a quarter of a mile from the area and the possibility that he could further reoffend if released,” the prosecutor told Magistrate Douglas Frederick. It is expected that Todd will be sentenced when he reappears before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court in 28 days.
