Elliot Belgrave Primary closed Monday, May 27

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training has advised that the Elliott Belgrave Primary School, at Gays, St Peter, will remain closed tomorrow, Monday, May 27, to complete industrial cleaning at the school.

It will reopen on Tuesday, May 28.

Any inconvenience caused is regretted. (BGIS)

  • There are some simple steps that can be taken to fix this ongoing humidity problem. Put a programmable timer on the A/C so that in turns on only when necessary. Do the same with a de-humidifier so that it turns on when the A/C goes off.
    Another solution is to install a ,"Humidistat controlled exhaust fan", that turns on when the humidity goes above a certain level.

  • It makes no difference which party is in power, this problem of sick Govt buildings continues. This is simply poor management if a proper cleaning problem was maintained this continuing problem would be eliminated. I read in another section of the press that the Ministry of Education was considering building a new school
    why ? build a new school and continue the same inadequate maintenance program for the new building to get become "Sick" again - imagine this time mold found in a cupboard of the nutrition room....... simply not acceptable.
