High Court bound

Three men on gun, ammunition and drug charges are now set to have their case heard in the High Court.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick today committed the matters to the Supreme Court where 61-year-old fisherman Grantley Dolar Babb, of No. 62 Lower Burney, St Michael; 41-year-old cook Stacey Terrance Richards, of No 249 Kingsland Gardens North, Christ Church and 29-year-old painter Landon Emmanuel Marlon Charles, of Powder Road, Station Hill, St Michael will face 20 charges.

The men are accused of importation of three .40 calibre pistols, a .45 pistol, a 9mm pistol and 23 rounds of 9mm ammunition without the valid licences.

They are also accused of possession of three .40 calibre pistols, 23 rounds of 9mm ammunition and a .45 calibre pistol also without valid licences.

The accused also allegedly imported, had possession, trafficked and had intention to supply 232.4 kilogrammes of cannabis worth $929, 000 and 6.5 killogrammes of cocaine worth $325,000.

All the offences occurred on March 20, 2018.

Babb and Richards are on remand while Charles is out on $120, 000 bail.
