Jury finds Attorney Vonda Pile guilty of theft

Veteran lawyer Vonda Minerva Pile was moments ago found guilty of theft but not guilty of money laundering.

Pile was accused of stealing BDS $191, 416. 39 belonging to her former client, Anstey King, between April 29, 2009 and October 26, 2010.

The 7-2 verdict came in the NO 5 Supreme Court just before 3 p.m after two hours of deliberations by the jury.

She has been remanded until July 16.
