Assault case adjourned until May

Teenager Keon Kenrico Waithe was granted bail today in connection with an offence against a female teen.

The 17-year-old Waithe, of Bosvigo Gap, Eagle Hall, St Michael is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Jammie-Ann McConney on February 15.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $1,000.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant has ordered him to stay away from McConney until the matter is adjudicated. The case comes up again in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on May 11.

In the meantime, the accused must report to the Black Rock Police Station every Wednesday by noon with valid identification.
