April Fools’ Day court appearance for two accused

Two men charged in connection with a robbery at the corporate offices of Kentucky Fried Chicken (Barbados) Limited will remain on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.

Former junior supervisor at the fast food franchise Alvin George Chung, 36, of Searles Plantation, Christ Church and Noel Lionel Taylor, 42, of Galloway Lane, Waterford, St Michael were again remanded to jail when they appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick today.

They are charged with robbing Llewelun Walthrust of BDS$69, 881.68 and US$1,259.50 belonging to the KFC on December 31, 2019.

The charge is indictable and the accused are not required to plead.

They will make their next appearance before the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on  April 1.
