Mount Gay marks major milestone . . . New projects planned for 2020

Mount Gay Distilleries celebrated its 317th anniversary recently with a number of activities, including an appreciation event and various product promotions to thank its staff members and customers for their support.

The appreciation function was attended by over 100 staff members, who were told by Managing Director Raphael Grison that the company’s success over the years would not have been possible without them.

He said, “As we celebrate this important anniversary together, I want to thank you for your support because it is not just about me nor the executive committee. Mount Gay is about family and that is each of you who play a role in the company’s success. We depend on you and look forward to your continued commitment.

“317 years of existence is a significant milestone and this year will be great for us at Mount Gay as we have many exciting new plans and projects which we will be launching shortly. There is always something new happening at Mount Gay which allows us to remain a part of the history of Barbados, and that is very important.

“We operate in a fast changing world and it is essential that we continue to ensure that we remain relevant by combining our craft, our tradition and our history with new and exciting features. So there will be a lot to look forward to this year.”

Mount Gay’s customers were not left out of the company’s celebrations as they were given the opportunity to win exciting prizes, including Distillery and Signature Tours and also received free product with purchases during the company’s Celebrating 317 Years of Expertise promotion. (PR)
