Serious indecency case continues tomorrow

Peter Anderson Alleyne (FP)

A middle-aged man who said he has now given his heart to the Lord and attends the Power In The Blood Assembly on Tudor Bridge, St Michael, sent gasps through the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ No. 1 Criminal Court today when he denied knowing the identity of his surety.

The declaration by Peter Anderson Alleyne of Pine Plantation, Pinelands, St Michael also appeared to have caught Magistrate Douglas Frederick by surprise even when he informed the accused that the surety had to pay the court $4,000 of her hard-earned money because he failed to turn up before now.

It was only after some prompting and questioning by the magistrate that Alleyne, who is charged with serious indecency on a ten-year-old girl, admitted knowing the person who had signed his bail.

The magistrate then told him to bring the surety tomorrow so she could determine what should happen to him.

The 54-year-old landscaper is charged that between 1st and 31st October, 2019, he unlawfully committed serious indecency towards the child.
