REGIONAL: UWI Mona Campus suspends all classes

(Source: UWI Mona Campus) – The UWI Mona Campus in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor and other authorities has taken the decision to suspend all classes at The UWI Mona and The UWI Mona Western Jamaica Campuses effective March 13, 2020.

Classes will resume in an online-mode or face-to-face on April 14, 2020. All examinations scheduled for tomorrow March 13, 200 will be canceled.

In an effort to reduce the population density in our Halls of Residence we strongly encourage Jamaican students who are residing on the hall to move home during this period of suspension.

The University will remain open, and operational until further advised. As we continue to monitor the situation and prepare our own environment, we urge that members of the community take the necessary personal precautionary measures as we work collaboratively through this period.
