REGIONAL- 14 day border lock-down imposed

(SOURCE: Trinidad Express) – Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has announced Trinidad and Tobago will be locking down its borders for the next 14 days.

He said only nationals of this country will be allowed to enter.

The Prime Minister said there will be exceptions for some foreigners to enter such as CARPHA employees and health personnel.

Rowley is speaking at a Post Cabinet news conference which still underway at the Diplomatic Centre, St Anns.

A special Cabinet was held this morning where this decision was taken.

Also announced:

* Schools will remain closed until the new term begins April 20.

* bars have been ordered to close.

* Gatherings over more than 25 people are banned.
