No new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Barbados today

Barbados has recorded no new cases from COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Wellness this evening reported.

In a statement issued by the Barbados Government Information Service it said 11 people tested yesterday were all negative for the coronavirus.

Seventeen people remain in isolation after testing positive for the virus.

There are three persons in mandatory quarantine at the Paragon Base, Christ Church and several others are self-quarantined at their homes.

Authorities are reminding those in self-quarantine to remain at home and to stay isolated from other members of the household.

Any breach of these conditions may result in the offender being place in mandatory quarantine at a health facility to complete the 14-day period.

They can also be subject to a maximum of $5, 000 or 12 months in prison, or both.
