Request for volunteers to assist public health teams

Senior Medical Officer Dr Anton Best

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has sent out a call for volunteers from among the healthcare community to assist in COVID-19 related activities.

Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anton Best, said the Ministry is interested in attracting volunteers who are health-care providers, including public health nurses, environmental health officers, staff nurses and doctors, who will join public health teams in monitoring and contact tracing.

Tasks may include telephone interviews, desk review of document or databases, and face-to-face interviews.

Persons interested in volunteering are asked to call the COVID-19 hotline at 536-4500. (BGIS)
