Online directory . . . New BHL website has the answer

In light of the COVID-19 curfew, Banks Holdings Limited (BHL) has created a resource for everyone – a new free online delivery directory. BHLdeliver.com connects customers with local food and beverage retailers, supermarkets and mini-marts.

Many persons prefer to protect themselves by staying at home and maintaining social distancing, and BHLdeliver.com brings information on all shops, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, community grocers and supermarkets together in one place for the convenience of their customers.

The first of its kind, this website is a service offered to businesses so that rather than have shoppers search through multiple sites to find out who delivers or provides curbside service, BHLdeliver.com puts that information all in one place. Companies offering delivery or curbside pickup of food, groceries and beverage are grouped by parish for convenient browsing, and shoppers simply have to click on the parish of their choice for a contact list of participating outlets.

The new delivery directory facilitates all food and beverages, not just those manufactured by BHL. Deliveries are made by the individual shop, retailer or supermarket directly and not by BHL.

Commercial Manager, Banks Breweries Limited Shafia London said the initiative was taken as a give back to their many retail customers, including shops and bars or restaurants that have been impacted during the COVID-19 crisis. She added that the benefit of persons having good delivery options all under one umbrella was also a primary motivator.

“We wanted to help businesses across Barbados and offer them this opportunity to list their delivery or curbside pickup services on BHLdeliver.com free of charge. BHL sees this as a way of giving back to our customers and helping them to keep their businesses open and maximize opportunities during this crisis,” said London.

“We know that many of our retail customers may not have the financial or technical resources to get the word out about their delivery services, and even if they did, we are making it easier for consumers to find them. All they have to do now is to visit www.BHLdeliver.com, click on the “add your restaurant/shop/bar” button and fill in the information.” (PR)
