COVID-19 UPDATE: Four more recoveries and no new cases

Four more people will be released from isolation today after testing negative for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Wellness today disclosed.

In addition, for the fifth straight day, there are no new cases in Barbados.

The four persons who tested negative for the second time yesterday were among 28 negative test results returned by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

This brings the number of persons who have recovered from the viral illness to 23 while 47 others remain in isolation. A total of 75 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 since the first cases were diagnosed on March 16. Of these, five have died.

Since February 11, the public health laboratory has conducted 1063 tests. (BT/BGIS)
