Update: Police identify man recovered from vehicle in careenage

Police have identified the man whose body was recovered from a vehicle at the bottom of the Careenage earlier today.

He is Carlisle Browne, of Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church.

Browne was positively identified by close family members who visited the scene.

Around 7:50 a.m., police received a call from a man who reported that a vehicle was partially submerged in the Careenage.

By the time lawmen arrived on the scene, the vehicle was already under the water.

Police and Coast Guard personnel pulled the vehicle from the water around 1:45 p.m.
