Flow providing connections for students

Flow providing connections for students – introduces special plan for students without an Internet connection.

Tertiary-level students without a personal Wi-Fi connection are in line to benefit from a special initiative from Flow.

For the next three months, Barbados’ leading telecommunications provider is offering a digital relief plan for unconnected students that includes dedicated high-speed Internet with 60Mbps.

Flow will be offering the plan without a contract and the company has also zero-rated several online portals and websites for students enrolled at the Barbados Community College (BCC) and the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus.

“Flow is a committed partner of both the BCC and UWI, and even more so in these challenging times, we want to ensure that no student is disadvantaged because they do not have access to an Internet connection,” said Marilyn Sealy, Senior Manager, Communications, Flow.

“We know the products and services we deliver are essential and we are equally committed to providing all available resources and this includes offering the plan without a contract so students have one less thing to worry about. Both institutions are in the process of identifying the students and we will ensure they are connected as soon as possible,” added Sealy.

Students with an existing Flow service at their homes can be connected immediately, while new installations will resume once the company receives the green light to do so. Flow is also offering students mobile connectivity with a special plan tailored just for them that includes ample data to facilitate their studies while on-the-go.

“There is no doubt the need for connectivity among these students is urgent and we are moving with haste to meet the demand. This is a top priority for us and we look forward to connecting them to their next opportunity and we wish them every success.” (PR)
