The Barbados Revenue Authority today announced that Louisa Lewis-Ward has been named as the institution’s new Revenue Commissioner. She will commence her appointment on Monday, June 15.

“Mrs Lewis-Ward should make an excellent addition to the management team at the Barbados Revenue Authority,” said William Layne, chairman of the Barbados Revenue Authority Board.

“It is expected that her extensive background in taxation and strategic planning will assist in helping the Authority to execute its mandate successfully.”

Prior to joining the Authority, Lewis-Ward was a Tax Partner with KPMG. Her professional history includes membership on the Tax Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB), trustee of the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) Charity, membership on the BIBA Tax Task Force and past council membership for the Barbados Chamber of Commerce.
