Accused gets bail

A 55-year-old man who denied threatening another person will reappear in court tomorrow.

Douglas Sydney Edwards, of 2nd Avenue Fairfield, Black Rock, St Michael was granted $500 in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today on his on recognizance.

He must return before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargent tomorrow with a surety.

Edwards pleaded not guilty to using the threatening words “ I gine kill you” towards Debbie Hyland-Hall on June 14 with intent to cause her to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against her.

“I didn’t do no words. We had an exchange of words. I got 14 sheep ma’am. I got my sheep. I ain’t got nobody to sign bail that is why it is so hard on me,” Edwards revealed.
