Small craft warning for Barbados

The Barbados Meteorological Services has issued a small craft warning as visibility continues to deteriorate because of Sahara dust.

A small craft warning is issued when reduced visibility of  5 km or less is affecting the marine area, and marine users should stay in port, particularly if GPS is not in use on the vessel.

A severe Sahara dust outbreak continues to affect Barbados and its marine area.

The Barbados Meteorological Services  says people with respiratory issues or allergies must travel with, or have close at hand, any relevant medications in case of an emergency.
