Police probing unnatural death

Lawmen are investigating the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of 43-year-old Karl Waithe of Powder Road, Station Hill, St Michael who died while at the Accident and Emergency Department, Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday.

In a media release, police said Waithe is suspected of ingesting a noxious substance at his residence yesterday.

The statement said initial investigations into the matter revealed that sometime between noon and 1 p.m., Waithe requested the assistance of a neighbour at his residence. The neighbour on responding found Waithe stumbling toward a motor vehicle parked at the front of his residence. The neighbour then assisted him into the motor and at his request transported him to the QEH.

Anyone who may have information on the matter is asked to contact the police at District ‘A’ Police Station.
