Britton’s Hill youth appear in court

Five young St Michael men are now on $3,000 bail each after appearing in a Bridgetown Court this week.

They are Renero Trequan Carrington, 18, of Burke Road, Britton’s Hill; Sylvan Kymani Antonio Wade, 17, of Villa Road, Britton’s Hill; Jacobe Jamali Holmes, 18, of Knight’s Road, Britton’s Hill; Jaden Dashawn Telemaque, 16, of Layne’s Road, Britton’s Hill and David Anderson Carter, 21 of Hillbury Road, Britton’s Hill.

They are accused of assaulting Tristan Gill on July 5, 2020, occasioning him actual bodily harm.

Carrington and Holmes pleaded guilty while the other three pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Douglas Frederick.

Carter is separately charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Daniel Whinfield and Malachi Rollins on the same date. He pleaded not guilty to that charge.

Carrington, Wade, Holmes and Telemaque are also charged with assaulting Whinfield and Rollins on July 5, occasioning them actual bodily harm.

Carrington and Holmes pleaded guilty to the offence while Wade and Telemaque denied the charges.

Pre-sentencing reports were ordered on Carrington and Holmes. They will reappear in court on October 16.

Wade, Telemaque and Carter were placed on a daily 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew. They are expected to reappear in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on December 1.

They have also been warned to stay away from the complainants until the matters are completed.
