New pharmacy opens with a promise of free deliveries

A new pharmacy, officially opened today, is offering free delivery to residents and businesses in Wildey and the immediate surrounding areas.

Additionally, Brydens Stokes Pharmacy, located at Meadow Road, Wildey, is also offering free delivery to persons aged 70 and over, islandwide.

Discounts are offered to BARP customers and free private consultations to pharmacy patrons.

Member of Parliament for the area, Minister of Education and Leader of Government Business, Santia Bradshaw, who officially opened the pharmacy this afternoon, said she was pleased that Bydens Stokes has brought a pharmacy closer to the residents of her constituency, who usually have to travel a distance to access the services offered at a dispensary.

Bradshaw said she was satisfied that the pharmacy has given the assurance that it would focus on promoting healthy living among those living in the area.

“I am delighted that the residents and businesses of The Pine and Wildey now have a local pharmacy, which not only offers free delivery to residents and the elderly residents islandwide. The WhatsApp facility of prescriptions makes life so much easier for COVID-19 vulnerable persons,” Bradshaw said.

Meanwhile, Divisional Head of Bryden Stokes Health and Wellness Sasha Miller explained that the pharmacy, at the Wildey location, offers free delivery within a one-mile radius. Miller said there is a BDS$10 delivery fee islandwide, outside of the 1-mile radius.

“Prescriptions can be submitted via WhatsApp for either collection or delivery, whichever is most convenient for you,” Miller said.

The pharmacy, launched with a healthy lifestyle extravaganza, which featured an array of health and wellness activities, including free health checks, work out sessions and samplings of various healthy lifestyle brands.

“Bryden Stokes is a major supplier of a full range of products, including food, household hygiene, wines, personal care and medical equipment and supplies. We have a retail outlet at Barbarees Hill therefore it was fitting to make medications and the like available from our Health and Wellness branch, in Wildey,” said Managing Director of Bryden Stokes Ltd, Adrian Padmore.
