#BTColumn – Much ado about nothing

There have been lots of criticism of Prime Minister Mia Mottley for offering the chance to run in St George North to union leader Toni Moore.

I have heard even louder criticisms of Moore. But notwithstanding that Moore is not the first labour official to be involved in politics, why are we missing the bigger picture?

My interpretation of this situation is that Miss Mottley wants to select the best talents available to fulfil the mandate she has been overwhelmingly given by the people and Miss Moore fits the profile.

In Parliament [if she wins which I hope she does] she will have more clout there than out of Parliament. Before we criticize her, we need to give her a chance to see how she performs.

If she flops then it would be open season on her head.
