One new COVID-19 case

A 14-year-old female visitor is the latest person to test positive for COVID-19, out of the 311 tests performed by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The visitor, who is asymptomatic, arrived in Barbados on October 19 on British Airways, and is a contact of a previously confirmed case, diagnosed on October 23.

No one will be released from isolation today. The confirmed cases are now 236 – 125 females and 111 males; those in isolation number 10; and those recovered remain at 218.

To date, the laboratory has completed 34,998 tests.
