BLP cancels tonight’s public meeting citing safety concerns

The Barbados Labour Party has cancelled tonight’s public meeting, which was scheduled for 7 pm at Bridge Cot, St George.

Party officials are citing the safety and wellbeing of the crowds who were expected to attend tonight’s meeting, which was to be the second last public meeting of the St George North by-election campaign, in support of candidate Toni Moore.

The BLP has given the prevailing weather conditions as the reason for the cancellation.

Party officials have decided it would be an act of irresponsibility and insensitivity to expose the public to the bad weather.
