An alleged threat to run over someone has landed a driver before the law court.

Rommel Jamar Burgess of Edgecombe, St Philip is charged that on November 16, 2020, he used threatening words to Tianna Richards which caused the complainant to believe immediate unlawful violence would be used against her.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Allison Burke, was told that Burgess said “Don’t let me see you on the road. I going lick you to f… down or run
you over.”

However, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 and ordered to be back in court on April 29, 2021.
