Downed power lines cause road closure along Brittons New Road

Motorists and the travelling public are advised that a number of utility poles have fallen across the roadway along Brittons New Road, St Michael rendering the road impassable.

Police spokesman, Inspector. (ag) Rodney Inniss has advised motorists to avoid the area completely.

However, he said personnel from the Barbados Light & Power are working to replace the poles and restore the electricity in the area. (More details as they come to hand)
