Wednesday’s inaugural meeting involving Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Foreign affairs ministers and their Canadian counterpart François-Philippe Champagne has been called off.

A brief statement from CARICOM said the meeting has been postponed because of Tuesday’s Cabinet reshuffle in Canada.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today named transport minister Marc Garneau as the new foreign affairs minister.

He is Canada’s fourth foreign minister in the last five years.
