Flow keeps on giving and improving service

Delivering value for customers remains a priority for Barbados’ leading telecommunications provider amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the country goes through a ‘national pause’ for the next two weeks, Flow is once again seeking innovative ways to ensure customers stay connected to the things
that matter most.

“While the economy has been hardest hit by COVID-19, the situation also has the potential to increase the digital divide for some Barbadian families, so we have taken proactive steps to ensure the products and services we offer reflect this reality,” said Marilyn Sealy, Senior Manager, Communications, South Caribbean, Flow.

“There is no doubt the need for connectivity is urgent and we know customers are heavily relying on our services, and likewise, we are committed to providing reliable connections and the greatest possible value wherever possible.”

At this time, Flow is providing a free 10-inch Samsung A7 tablet with its value-rich Connected Bundle and Everywhere Bundle.

The Connected Bundle is a broadband, fixed-line and post-paid mobile triple-play bundle, while the Everywhere Bundle is a broadband and mobile double-play bundle. Both bundles also provide free access to HBO GO and a free Wi-Fi extender for complete in-home coverage.

Existing customers who already have the Upward Bundle, Upward Lite Bundle or Onward Bundle can also take advantage of the free device when they add the post-paid mobile Together Plan starting at just $100 per month.

“While our physical retail stores are closed for the national pause we are still serving our customers through our virtual retail store and we are still conducting installations and fault repairs with all social distancing protocols being observed,” added Sealy.

“In the mobile space, we did have a recent five dollar increase on one of our higher tier post-paid plans that only five percent of our mobile customers are subscribed, however, at the same time, we also increased the in-plan allotments giving them more value and more benefits every month.”

Flow has also been working closely with the Ministry of Education, the Barbados Union of Teachers and the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union to increase home internet speeds for all teachers who are customers of the company, in addition to donating devices to schools and individual students in need.

“The one thing this pandemic has demonstrated for us is that we needed to step up and become a lifelong ally of our customers, as the importance of connectivity has become necessary to survive this new normal. It is for this reason we have made these investments in our suite of products and give-back initiatives.”

Flow’s virtual retail store is available Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling 292-FLOW (3569), sending a message via WhatsApp to 230-1821 or via email at bb-retail-stores@cwc.com.

Customers can also take advantage of the many remote payment options including via the commercial banks, SurePay, the MyFlow App or by visiting www.discoverflow.co or by calling toll free 1-800-804-2994. (PR)
