Below is the full text of the statement

I am deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and untimely passing of former West Indies cricketer and coach Ezra Moseley.

Ezra was an outstanding swing bowler and athlete for whom I had a considerable amount of respect. Even after an active career as a player, he took pride in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and was always willing to lend advice and mentor younger players.

He made an invaluable contribution to Barbados cricket, especially with the youth and women’s team. He was extremely knowledgeable about the game, a strict disciplinarian, and sincere in his pursuit of excellence.

It is indeed a very sad day for his family and friends. The cricket fraternity mourns the loss of our brother.

On behalf of my family, I would like to offer sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of the late Ezra Moseley.
