Another DLP exit

Henderson Williams

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP)has lost yet another high-profile member, the fifth in recent months.

Treasurer Henderson Williams has tendered his resignation from the Verla DePeiza-led party.

In a brief letter of resignation, Williams said: “It is with much regret that I am forced to submit this letter of resignation as Treasurer and ultimately a member of the Democratic Labour Party with immediate effect.”

Williams, a credit unionist,  stood for Parliament on a DLP ticket in the 2018 general election in the City of Bridgetown.

His departure comes on the heels of Simon Alleyne back in January, which followed that of former general Secretary George Pilgrim, George Connelly and Rodney Grant. (SD)
