Stay Intimate is a stepping stone towards greater innovation among the local hotel sector, given the uptake in mobile device usage. Executive Director of the IHB, Davina Layne, expressed her content with Stay Intimate. “I am thrilled to finally see the app unveiled as I believe it will provide added value for our customers, especially through the loyalty programme. The app was also designed to increase the visibility of our brand and improve customer engagement, and I trust that users will enjoy the experience,” Layne said. Managing director of ITC solutions firm, Royal Vega, Mark Holford, explained that Stay Intimate is meant to be a call-to-action and a memorable phrase for persons to consider when planning vacations. “The intention is to provide an intuitive and convenient way to reward our guests for staying with the hotels of the IHB. In a highly competitive environment, such as our local tourism industry, it is extremely important to retain your client base and attract new clients in the process and an effective loyalty programme will aid in achieving this objective among other things,” Holford noted. Stay Intimate boasts exciting features to ensure customers have a fully ‘Intimate’ holiday experience in Barbados. Users can learn about the 46 properties of IHB and associated dining options right at their fingertips. Through the loyalty programme, members are treated to stay points and Intimate Cash, which serves as a discount on accommodation.
